Champaign, OH:  Winter Part 2

And it sure been a cold, cold winter
And the wind ain’t been blowin’ from the south…
It’s sure been a cold, cold winter…
(Winter-Rolling Stones)

Maybe it isn’t even Part 2, maybe it’s just been going on with this crazy cold, ice and snow for one big run on string of months…

Anyway, if you are looking out your windows, and seeing this down pour of snow showers, and you are ready for some local kind of goodness, you can grab something warm to drink, make out your local market list, and spend time cozying up to our market site.

The market can make the coldest of days feel like the sun is so bright, it will put a smile on your face…

What better way to spend a snowy Sunday…

XOXO,
Cosmic Pam

Safe and Sound Soap Co.:
Have you started Spring cleaning yet? Now is the perfect time to try my Cleaning Spray! It’s made with organic sugar cane alcohol and the perfect amount of Castile soap. This is perfect for cleaning your kitchen, bathrooms, even wiping down your appliances, and mopping your floors, leaving everything sparkling clean and streak free! This spray does not contain vinegar unlike many natural cleaning sprays, So it doesn’t leave behind a pungent smell. Instead it freshens the area with a light lemon and eucalyptus scent, thanks to my therapeutic grade essential oils. Remember to check your laundry soap this week, and place and order for more if you are running low!

Calico Farms:
It seems like SO many people I know are still fighting flu & colds right now. What can you do? Support your immune system & have things on-hand for when illness strikes. I suggest our organic elderberry syrup as a daily “insurance policy” when you’re well, with instructions on ramping up dosages when you’re starting to feel off, located in the product listing itself. We offer a 16 oz bottle for $30 with a $3 bottle return. Also available are our immune support tea & sinus relief shower steamers for therapeutic treatment of congestion in your daily shower. Amazing & invigorating!

NashPhilly:
Bring on the cold! We would like to highlight some of our hearty dishes this week, that will warm you right up on these cold days…
Chicken Rosemary Potpies. We will have these available to purchase on this market this week again! We make our pot pie base from scratch, and use a little white wine for flavor, and roux to thicken. Finished with a deliciously crunchy and satisfying top layer of puff pastry. Beef Burgundy. It’s a French stewed beef dish with red wine. We have some root vegetables like carrots and parsnips for added flavors and textures. The red wine as it cooks really develops a beautiful flavor with the pieces of tender and soft beef.
We have a new risotto dish to our menu! It’s roasted red bell pepper risotto. Classic risotto recipe with the addition of roasted red bell pepper purée. This bowl of risotto is a great dish by itself with some bread. Or pair it with a side of delicious farm raised steak.
